Praying Together

The Third Order

of St. Patrick and St. Aidan

In the ancient Church, even up to today, it is customary for "orders" of missionary priests to invite lay people to join them in sharing spiritual life together.  This has traditionally been called the Third Order:  1. priests  2. monastics 3. lay members.
